Congratulations!  You’ve made the decision that your child is going to start violin or viola lessons.  But – after the initial honeymoon period, you and your child realize that it’s hard work.  Nobody likes to practice.  It’s not a sign that your child should quit or that it’s not the right instrument for them.  The reality is – without practice, we don’t progress.  Lack of progress leads to lack of interest.
